Yes, this is the book written by Augusten Burroughs’ brother and yes I only discovered it through my obsession with Augusten Burroughs. However, I have heard great things about the story (I don’t think I would read it just because it’s somewhat connected to Augusten Burroughs- though I can’t be sure). John went through his entire life with Asperger’s without knowing it. He was actually an adult before he was diagnosed. So he spent his entire life feeling different and unable to explain himself to others. I can’t even begin to imagine what that must have been like and how vindicated he must have felt once he was finally diagnosed. I’m really looking forward to it.
